If you’re still working on picking an ideal theme for your blog, one of the best plugins in Theme Test Drive.

Theme Test Drive WordPress plugin allows you to safely test drive any theme on your blog as administrator, while visitors still use the default one. It happens completely transparently and they will not even notice you run a different theme for yourself. Best part is you can even set the testing theme options (if it has them) in the Admin panel while you are testing the theme.

You can also preview any theme by adding “?theme=xxx” to your blog URL. For example http://www.myblog.com/?theme=Default (theme name is case-sensitive!)

Don’t get me wrong, it takes a bit of a learning curve to get use too, but it is a design life saver.

For example, for this blog, I’m not particularly happy with the image (I want a lady who looks African American) and I don’t want the pages of my other blogs to be so squished. In fact, I want you to be able to view the entire blog without having to leave KatrinaBlogs.

So, I’m frequently testing various themes.

How annoying would it be for you to refresh or even go to another page and the theme changes on you. Again and again and again…

With Theme Test Drive, there is no need to disturb you, my readers.

This gives me an opportunity to figure out how to use the Atahulpa theme without you even noticing.

It also gives me time to develop my own headers and other elements of my blog while still giving you a visually appealing presentation and compelling content.
