June 2016 Blog Income and Traffic Report

Yep, it is time for another month’s blog income/traffic report. It has actually been 2 months since I wrote one as I was totally slacking (my bad, y’all) on all my blogs last month.

The wonderful thing is that my traffic and income only took a slight dip without me. Yay! That’s exactly what I want. Passive traffic and income. I have posts coming up in the near future on things that I set-and-forget to keep my stats going strong(ish).

These blog reports are great for me to see what I am doing right (and what I’m doing wrong). Plus, it gives current and future bloggers something to think about for their own blogs. And, of course, it helps keep me accountable to show at lease some kind of progress, right?

The fact that my traffic stats didn’t go down as much as I would have thought was surprising as I hardly did any Facebook groups at all. I was also rather negligent in keeping my Buffer account full.

On the other hand, I added images  (some old posts, some new posts), scheduled them on Pinterest using Tailwind, and looped the boards using BoardBooster. This whole process takes less than 10 minutes (including making the images) as opposed to the hours that I would spend completing my Facebook groups.

Towards the end of the month, I also added the Revive Old Post plugin to MsCrookedHalo, which I think I will use to replace Buffer. Current thinking is that I will save my Buffer to market any current giveaways and linkups.

  • Hi,

Thanks for mentioning the GrowMap anti-spambot plugin. I can’t do without it and am still thankful that Andy Bailey of CommentLuv created it and named it after my blog. I use the version that is built into CommentLuv Premium.

My favorite social plugin Social Warfare is worth mentioning. It isn’t free, but it is reasonable enough that I am willing to pay for it to get my Twitter share counts back and because it lets you include up to 3 images for social sharing and it has click-to-tweet built into it. I like everything about it except the name.

I hope you’ll drop by and comment. You might even want to doa guest post for me.

  • A wise idea from a brilliant mind to know if you are improving or not.
