22 Plugins that I put on every blog

22 Plugins that I put on every blog

I love WordPress because of the plugins.

There is a wealth of plugin on WordPress that you can use to make you blog or website sing.

Sometimes, I only use certain plugins on certain blogs or test various versions on different blogs to see which one I like better.

But, there are some plugins that I have on every single blog that I own.

My Favorite Theme:

Atahualpa: Although not a plugin, it is my theme of choice. It is a flexible theme that you can make do almost anything. Yep,

App of the Month: WP Touch Mobile

WP Touch Mobile

Hello, my fellow Amateur Bloggers.

This month, I am starting a new blog series entitled App of the Month. This new series will feature an app that I just love.

This month, that app is WP Touch Mobile, a app that instantly makes your website mobile responsive for FREE. And I just can’t tell you how much I love it.

Previously, I wrote this post, How to make your Atahualpa Theme More Mobile Friendly on this blog. And it works great. No complaints here, really. But I just like the way that WP Touch Mobile presents better.

Amazing Amazon Affiliate WordPress Plugins

For months and months now, I have been on the hunt for a great (and free!) Amazon plugin. Mostly for my book blog but also for any posts on my other blogs that might use an Amazon Assoicate Link. Alas, my hunt continues and I will probably end up having to invest some money (gotta spend money to make money, right?).

My main goal was bigger images than the ones provided on the Amazon Sitestripe. Bonus if I can find an app that would go back and change my Amazon Associate links being as I lost my old account

Comments Evolved

Yesterday, I found this awesome plugin that I am testing on all of my blogs called Comments Evolved.

In years gone by, I have tested almost every popular commenting system that WordPress has to offer.

Disqus.

Livefyre.

IntenseDebate.

Finally landing on my current favorite, CommentLuv.

But I, and I am sure thousands of other bloggers, really wished that there was a plugin that allowed me to utilize all of them at the same time.

Comments Evolved has come the closest.

And,

Plugin: Editorial Calendar

An in the continuing saga of what in the world is wrong with this blog now, I still cannot predate blog posts.

~Sigh~

Which explains why I have not been posting much on here.

Well, that and a combination of procrastination lazy and being busy working on my other blogs.

However, yesterday it occurred to me that I could just use the Editorial Calendar as a temporary work around.

And, thus, this post was born (and written yesterday, by the way. Lol.)

On my shopping

Plugin: Keyword Luv

A plugin that I have on most of my wordpress blogs but that I am kind of confused on the purpose of is Keyword Luv.

Image via Wikipedia

Yeah, so I just basically jumped on the bandwagon without really knowing where it was heading.Lol.

As far as my limited reasoning can tell, the purpose of keyword luv is to give anchored text backlink.

Anchored text is important for seo because it tells the search bots what your blog is about.

For example, the blog is about blogging.

Category Specific RSS Feed

While I was searching on how to do that (do I just add the category to the end of my feed???), I found out that I can and should add category feeds to my blogs. I found the plugin Category Specific RSS came to from Tips and Tricks HQ.
