I found this great article entitled A Complete Guide to Finding and Using Incredible Flickr Images on Skelliwag.org.
The author goes into detail on why getting images from Flickr is probably better than google images or purchasing stock photos but the argument that probably resonates most with us fledgling bloggers is the word FREE.
However, the best part of the Skelliewag article is the excellent definition of the different types of Creative Commons licenses!!
A must bookmark for any blogger considering using images.

I use Flickr for my free images sometimes, I have bookmarked creative commons search and this gives you a search engine of all the free photos and videos on the internet including Flickr, google, yahoo and blip tv. Hope this is of interest to you.
